Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez is off to a great start since getting called up to the big leagues. EL Gary (s/o to @barstooljj for the nickname) has won his second AL player of the week. Sanchez is the first rookie to be able to do this. Sanchez looks like he can possibly become the face of this Yankee squad. Sanchez is batting .405 with eleven home runs and twenty-one RBI. The Yankees are 14-9 since Sanchez has been with the club, and the team has raced atop the standings, and are now in possible contention for a wildcard spot. Manager Joe Giradi said he is in awe of what Sanchez has been able to do. Even with the Yankees possibly not making the playoffs I see this season as a positive since the Yankees have found a new face for the future.
