Kevin Garnett is in talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves to reach a contract settlement that most belief would lead KG to retire. As a Celtics fan I truly got introduced to “The Big Ticket,” when he came here in a trade in 2007. The passion that KG played with is something that I don’t think has ever been matched. When he would would go to the hoop and headbutt the protective mat, I would get amped how wouldn’t you. He just got you so excited to watch the game of basketball. The moment we will all remember is when Boston won the championship and KG uttered the phrase we will all remember,”anything’s possible.” His hustle was amazing, and he could energize the team with one play. I was happy to see him go back to the Timberwolves after his short stint with the Brooklyn Nets. KG was the 5th overall pick in the 1995 draft as he made the jump from high school to the NBA. Garnett averaged 17.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 blocks for his career. If this is the end thank you KG I loved your passion, and brought a championship to Boston. He’s a first ballot Hall of Famer, and it is well deserved.
