Celtics Kick Season Off With a Win at Home

The Celtics kicked off the season with a high powered offensive showing defeating the Brooklyn Nets 122-117. Isaiah Thomas had 25 points, with 6 rebounds, and 9 assists. Also Jae Crowder who has been called out for his lack of offensive skills in the offseason responded by scoring 21 points with 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Lastly in his first game with the team, Al Horford scored 11 points, and also had a great stat line with 4 blocks, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. This game really showed the Celtics fan how well rounded Horford is as a player. He showed his ability to pass the ball, and also his big defensive presence that the Celtics have been looking for. Also rookie Jaylen Brown got his first NBA minutes, netting 9 points. The rookie talked about his nerves saying, “On a scale of 1-10, I was a seven or eight,” he said with a smile. “You want to have a lot of energy, and it’s hard to suppress your energy.” Al Horford seems to be worth all the money that the Celtics paid for him. If the Celtics can keep this play up you are gonna want to stay tuned. This is the season that the Celtics can make a run.
