The Bruins Come Out On Top In Florida

The Bruins went down to Florida where they play their next two games and started off against the Florida Panthers. Boston’s defeated Florida 2-1. It was a good team win, but there is plenty for the team to improve on. They took way too many penalties. They were in the penalty box seven times. It’s way too much. If you don’t have Tuukka in net you are giving up at least 2-3 goals. Tuukka Rask had a fantastic game between the pipes stopping 33 shots. Tuukka has been playing phenomenal since returning from being injured especially after his shutout in Detroit.”I’ve felt good all along,” Rask said. “Probably just because of the chances we gave up (on penalties), I had to make more saves, but I felt good all along.” Also Brad Marchand keeps finding the net. He drew a penalty shot and dangled the Bruins to a 1-0 lead early on in the 1st period. The goal was Marchy’s 4th of the season. He continues to prove why he is my favorite player either with his filthy shots or just being the little pest that he is. Also something that was good for the Bruins is that they were sticking up for each other.  Jimmy Hayes Cleared out a Panthers forward after a slash to goalie Tuukka Rask. Then after what appeared to be a bad hit on Defenseman Torey Krug, Adam McQuaid absolutely demolished Shane Harper for the hit on Krug. It’s seemed like this was missing from the Bruins, so it’s good to see guys hold other teams accountable. Now the Bruins face the Tampa Bay Lightning and electric scorer Steven Stamkos.
