Patriots Blow Game: Seahawks Soar to Victory

The Patriots have been absolutely blowing by teams as of late. After Sunday’s game, it looks like they found their kryptonite. The offense was rather successful as usual, but the defense was lacking. Quarterback Tom Brady had a pretty good game for the average quarterback, but for Tom Brady standards it was relatively poor. Brady just made me too many mistakes. The quarterback was 23 for 43 and threw for 316 yards and a very costly interception. Running back LeGarrette Blount had a great game scoring 3 touchdowns. Brady’s two favorite targets were Martellus Bennett and Julian Edelman. Bennett had 7 catches for 102 yards while Edelman had 7 catches for 99 yards. The Seahawks offense eviscerated the Patriots defense. Russell Wilson had a great game completing 25 of 37 passes for 348 yards and 3 touchdowns. The defense was just unable to stop the Seattle offense. This was the first game that the absence of  Jamie Collins was visible. Linebacker Elandon Roberts was unable to keep up with the receivers and running backs. Quarterback Tom Brady talked about the Offenses execution saying,”Our execution wasn’t great, and they put a lot of pressure on you defensively. They have a lot of good players and they make you earn every yard. They play to the end, they have been in a lot of close games. It came down to a yard at the end and we didn’t get it.” The Patriots have an easy matchup next weekend playing the 49ers in San Francisco.
