Bruins Comeback In Third: Blow It In OT

The game started out rough for the Bruins. John-Michael Liles was ruled out and will be out for a while with concussion-like symptoms. The Bruins defense was horrible for the first two periods. I take that back the Bruins sucked for the first two periods. The Philadelphia Flyers scored two goals in the first period as they bolted out of the gate. Adam Mcquaid had a terrible turnover that almost cost the Bruins the game before they even had a chance, but the third period was a different story. David Krejci netted his 3rd goal of the season and the pest that is Brad Marchand scored his 7th goal of the season.  Then the Flyers had a chance to regain the lead with a penalty shot being awarded to Jakub Voracek who was held on a breakaway. Tuukka Rask made an amazing stop and was great throughout the game. He has been the glue that has held this team together. He only had 19 saves but a majority of them were great saves. Then the game went into overtime but the score remained tied. Both goalies performed great in the shootout but Philly prevailed to get the victory. Brad Marchand was the only Bruin to score in the shootout. Steve Mason was absolutely incredible for the Flyers he stopped an impressive 45 shots. “Mase was the best player on the ice tonight,” Flyers coach Dave Hakstol said. “He got the two points tonight; it was a heck of a performance from him.” The Bruins look to rebound against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight.
