Well, this isn’t good for both the Patriots and the star Tight End. Mike Reiss from ESPN is reporting that Rob Gronkowski has a herniated disc in his back and will be undergoing surgery on Friday. In a way, this is a big blow for the Patriots offense. Gronk is a tight end like no other. He’s probably the best player to ever play the position. Personally, I think the Patriots are going to do just fine. They have played without Gronk before and Martellus Bennett is a great tight end. With Gronk’s recent absences he has been able to excel. This may be the last season we see Gronk in a Patriots uniform. I would hate to see it but this move for sure would not surprise me. The Pats just traded Jamie Collins so moving Gronk wouldn’t be that much of a difference. The surgery is now his 3rd back surgery since his junior year at Arizona. Damn you Madden Curse!!!!!!!
