Bruins Beat Habs In Overtime

NHL: Boston Bruins at Montreal Canadiens

God, it is great to beat the Montreal Canadiens. When it is in overtime it is even better. Boston beat the Canadiens 2-1 in overtime. Ryan Spooner had the game winning goal which was his 4th of the season.

It has been a rough season for Spooner and it was rumored he might be leaving the team but recently he has been playing well and it was great to see him score here. Also, Austin Czarnik scored a goal in the first period which was his 3rd of the season. I think that Czarnik will be a guy that will be a solid third liner on these Bruins teams.

He talked about the goal saying, “The last time I went up high and he got it with his stick. So I figured I would just shoot it low, just get it on net and create something and it went in.” The real star of the game was Tuukka Rask. Damn Tuukka has been playing great this season. He is 15-5 on the season and has a 1.80 GAA and a .932 save percentage. He had 30 saves versus the Canadiens including this amazing one Tomas Plekanec.

Finally, thank you, Torey Krug, for lighting up Andrew Shaw.

The Bruins are now 16-12-2 on the season and stand at 8th in the Eastern conference standings.  They play the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night and hey Sidney Crosby you suck.
