Westbrook and Thunder fall short against Hawks

Russell Westbrook was out here balling but it wasn’t enough as the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Atlanta Hawks 110-108. Russell Westbrook has just been on a tear this season. Westbrook had 46 points 11 rebounds and 7 assists. It was Westbrook’s 21st double-double of the season. Westbrook was on fire late in the 4th and looked to be leading his team to a victory. He hit a key step back jumper with 32 seconds left to tie the game at 108.

The Atlanta Hawks had two players have phenomenal games. Dennis Schroder had 31 points 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Paul Millsap was probably the MVP of the game. He had 30 points and 11 rebounds. Millsap hit a key shot with 12.7 seconds left to put the Hawks ahead. ”It took everything we had,” Millsap said. ”It took everybody stepping up to get this win tonight.”

The Thunder started out rough only shooting 27.3 percent in the 1st quarter. The Hawks have now won four out of their last six games. This comes after a rough five-game losing streak. The win brings the Hawks to .500 with their current record standing at 14-14. Next up for the Atlanta Hawks is the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
