Well, after that game versus the Bruins this was much needed. The Bruins defeated the Florida Panthers 3-1. Frank Vatrano in his first game of the season snatched his first goal of the season. Vatrano was a great player to watch last season and he seems to have not missed a step. To make it even better he scored the goal on only his second shot of the game. Also, after struggling in the past couple games Patrice Bergeron scored a goal on the power play which was his 5th of the season. Finally for the Bruins David Backes scored an empty netter bringing his season total to 8 goals. Also, Tuukka Rask continued his great play only allowing one goal and stopping 29 shots. Lastly shoutout to Dominic Moore played in his 800th career game. Moore is an absolute workhorse and continues to be a solid depth player.

For the Florida Panthers, the only thing that was good for them was the Jagr. Jaromir Jagr notched his 1,888th point this puts him ahead of Mark Messier for 2nd place all-time in points. I don’t know how he keeps on doing this. He is 44 years old and looks like he won’t be stopping anytime soon. Also, he got a sick golden stick so that is awesome as well. He also had this great quote which just shows how great of a guy he is. “You want to win the hockey game,” Jagr said. “The best thing is to put this behind us, and the whole team can now be concerned about winning. … I’ve learned that hockey is a team game. Only team victories count. I wish it had happened in the first period, or it was a goal to give us the lead.”

Next up for the Bruins is the Carolina Hurricanes Friday night.
