A great Christmas gift: Patriots blowout Jets

Yawn… That game was never in doubt. The Patriots absolutely demolished the New York Jets defeating them 41-3. Tom Brady had an okay game it wasn’t anything special just 214 passing yards and three touchdowns. It was the same for running back LeGarrette Blount who had 20 carries for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Tom Brady was hitting his best friend Julian Edelman all day with the receiver having 5 catches for 89 yards.

The defense was great today even with the absence of Dont’a Hightower. Linebackers Elandon Roberts and Kyle Van Noy were all over the field. Also the secondary was phenomenal against the Jets offense forcing three interceptions. Malcolm Butler had 2 picks including one early on in the game that he tipped to himself and then Erik Rowe recorded the other pick.

Also shoutout to the greatest coach of all time Bill Belichick winning his 200th career game with the Patriots. he is one of only 5 coaches to reach the feat with one team.

The Jets game can be described by these quotes. Brandon Marshall said the 38-point loss was “embarrassing.” Then after being made aware of what his teammate said, defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson was none too pleased. “He should be embarrassed,” said Richardson, confirming he meant Marshall. Why should Marshall be embarrassed? “No reason,” Richardson said. “He just should be. He knows what he did.”

I am so happy God made me a Patriots fan. The Patriots conclude the season with a game in Miami versus the Dolphins. If they win home field advantage is theirs throughout the playoffs.
