Celtics Pick Up W on Christmas

We had the Patriots on Christmas Eve but the spotlight was on the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day. The C’s traveled to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks.

Isaiah Thomas showed the entire audience just how great of a player he is. IT had 27 points 4 assists and 3 rebounds. It was also a great depth game as Kelly Olynk had 16 points off the bench and Marcus Smart had 15 points and 7 assists as well. It was a high scoring affair and the Knicks box score proved that. Smart talked about playing against the Knicks on Christmas saying, “They had the crowd behind them on a very special day and this team just did a really good job of making sure when they punched us we punched right back.” Smart made a key shot late in the 4th to help the Celtics hold on to their lead.

Carmelo Anthony had 29 points and 7 rebounds. Also, Derrick Rose in his first Christmas game as a Knick had 25 Points 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Finally, Kristap Porzingas had 22 points and 12 rebounds days after visiting Disneyland. Also shoutout Melo for giving a car to a family who has a 17-year-old daughter with cancer. Melo sucks at winning championships but doesn’t suck at being a great guy.

Next up for the Celtics is the Memphis Grizzlies once again on Tuesday night.
