The Minnesota Wild had a hell of a game and absolutley destroyed the Montreal Canadiens 7-1.

The Wild held a 7-0 lead before Tomas Plekanec scored his 6th goal of the season at 19:51 in the third period. Christian Folin started off the scoring with his first goal of the season and the second of his carrer. That was a tell-tale sign that this was going to be a rough night for the Canadiens. Nino Niederreiter had two goals on the night extending his season total to 11 goals. Eric Staal also added to his impressive goal total notching his 14th goal of the season. “I think once mine went in, it took some of the wind out of their sails,” said Staal. The 14 goals outnumbers his total from last season. Finally Jason Zucker scored his 1oth goal of the season and Ryan Suter notched his 6th of the season. Both goals were scored on the powerplay.

Next up for the Wild is back to back games versus the Dallas Stars and the Chicago Blackhawks
