Carmelo Anthony met with New York Knicks President to talk among other things if he wants to stay with the team.
Melo made sure to let Jackson know that he wants to stay with the team. The meeting was due to critical comments from a friend of Jackson’s in an article and Melo made sure that his displeasure was known. According to league sources several members of the organization think it is best that Melo moves on to another team. Anthony has made his feelings known in the press especially when some media members were saying that Anthony isn’t valuable to the the team anymore. “If that’s the case, if that’s where it’s coming from, that side, I guess it’s a conversation we should have,” Anthony said Sunday. “If they feel my time in New York is over, I guess that’s a conversation we should have.”
The Knicks have been struggling of late as they are 18-24 and have lost 11 of their last 13 games.
